This simple sweet pie recipe is filled with dulce de leche and walnuts, it impresses children and adults alike and is a hit for any occasion! Ingredients for making simple sweet pie:

For the pie dough:

 3 cups unleavened wheat flour

 5 tablespoons of butter or margarine

 1 egg

 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence (optional)

 1 pinch of salt

 1 egg yolk (to brush)

For the filling:

 ½ pot of dulce de leche (200 g)

 ½ cup chopped walnuts

 3 tablespoons of sour cream

How to make a simple sweet pie:

Start by making the pie dough: put all the respective ingredients in a bowl (wheat flour, margarine, egg, salt and, if you like, vanilla essence as well) and mix with your hands until you get a dough firm and slightly breaking.

Tip: The salt in the dough helps to bring out its flavor, so don't forget to use it!

Line the pie tins with parchment paper or butter them well. Take pieces of the dough and open them in the pie tins, as in the photo. Reserve about 1/3 of the total dough to make the pie caps.

Tip: Roll out the dough until it has the same thickness on the bottom and sides of the mold. Shape the dough with your hands, it is not suitable for opening with a rolling pin.

Then turn the oven on to 180ºC and prepare the dulce de leche filling very easily: in a bowl mix the dulce de leche with the walnuts and the cream. If you prefer, you can beat the dulce de leche and the cream in a blender and then mix in the walnuts.

Tip: If you want a less consistent filling, add more sour cream.

Divide this dulce de leche cream into the pie molds, placing approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons of the cream in each mold. Then shape dough disks and use them to cover this filling, closing the edges tightly. Finally, brush the egg yolk.

Bake the pies in the oven at 180ºC for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden. Remove, unmold and let cool a little before serving. Your closed sweet pie is ready! Indulge and tell us what you think in the comments.
